The Challenge
Pasadena ISD was seeking a new website and online environment that served as the face of their diverse community. Creating an engaging and inspired website was just half the battle. School administrators knew that communication would be a significant problem when introducing a new website and other education technologies. A customized site that could be tailored to the unique needs of the school while attracting students and teachers in the competitive Pasadena education market was the goal.
An additional challenge was scalability. The Pasadena School District was growing at a rapid rate. As the student population grew, so did the need to engage students at a personal level. This problem coupled with the critical need to provide communication between parents, teachers and students, who often spoke different languages, had stalled the district's ability to move ahead with its technology initiatives.

The Solution
The Pasadena School District began their quest to find the web-centric solution that could aid them in accomplishing these goals. As State bid laws require, the School District considered a wide variety of solution providers. In the end, SchoolCenter was able to gain the competitive edge by Professional Services unique ability to transform the Pasadena website into an engaging best practices web environment.
The Outcome
The Pasadena Independent School District is among the first in its area to launch a "next generation" interactive learning environment. Stakeholders are connecting in ways that were not possible before and addressing everyday issues more quickly and efficiently. Online video hosting, just one of Professional Services features, has helped Pasadena ISD attract new students and teachers to its facilities. Personalized calendaring functions for parents, teachers and students plus personalized teacher pages will help bring each group within the school community together in one discussion.
